250g plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
50g caster
2 eggs
50ml sunflower oil
350ml Graham's Organic Whole milk with cream on top
4-5 plums
handful of cherries
75g honey
1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
Graham's Vanilla Quark to serve
chopped almonds to serve
Step 1
Preheat your waffle iron. Measure out the flour, baking powder, and caster together in a bowl.
Step 2
In a jug whisk together the eggs, oil and milk until smooth.
Step 3
Combine the wet and dry ingredients together and whisk until smooth.
Step 4
Spoon the required amount into your waffle iron and cook following the instruction. Repeat until the batter is used up.
Step 5
For the fruit, cut the plums in half and set aside.
Step 6
Heat a small frying pan over a medium heat. Place the plums in the pan cut side down and allow to colour a little. Add the honey to the pan alongside the vanilla and cook until syrupy. If it over caramelises and become too thick add a little water. Add the cherries and cook for a few minutes.
Step 7
Serve with the waffles and generous dollop of Graham's Vanilla Quark and top with some chopped almonds if you fancy it.
