Warming, comfort food never goes amiss and this classic macaroni cheese recipe is sure to hit the spot on those cold winter evenings. Grandma Jean uses our mature cheddar to reach those ultimate levels of indulgence.

Ingredients: 

  • 250g macaroni
  • 250g Graham’s mature cheddar
  • 250ml evaporated milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • Grating of fresh nutmeg
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)

Instructions: 

Step 1 

Preheat the oven to 220°C. Cook the macaroni according to the packet instructions, drain and then put into a bowl. 

Step 2 

Grate the cheese and mix together with the evaporated milk, eggs and nutmeg.

Step 3 

Pour the mixture over the macaroni, stir well, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4

Bake in an oven proof dish in a very hot oven for about 10–25 minutes, or until it is bubbling and blistering on top.
