Bridge of Allan launches its first annual
Sports Club Tennis Open
Graham’s Dairies is sponsoring the first ever annual Bridge
of Allan Sports Club Tennis Open, which is being held at Bridge of Allan Sports Club, from 11 to 13 August. Singles and doubles tennis events will be taking place over the three days, and a large number of competitors from all over Scotland are set to take part.
This support consolidates recent sponsorship provided by
the Bridge of Allan-based family dairy, which was used to help expand the club’s Junior Development Programme with particular emphasis on providing additional tennis coaching sessions, purchasing new equipment and organising and attending tournaments. Bridge of Allan Sport’s Club has an enviable reputation for tennis coaching, boasting coaches such as Gavin Vickery and Jamie Durkin.
Organised tennis activities take place all year round at Bridge of Allan, and all players of all ages and standards, from social to national league players, attend the club. As well as the first Annual Open, the Bridge of Allan Junior Club Championships will be taking place from Friday 18 August.
Carol Graham, Director of Graham’s Dairies, said: “The first ever Tennis Open at Bridge of Allan Sports Club will bring great atmosphere and excitement to the club and to the local community. As sponsors, Graham’s Family Dairy is delighted to be able to provide on-going support, which will enable many more prestigious tournaments to take place.”
Jamie Durkin, Bridge of Allan Sports Club’s qualified resident tennis coach, commented: “We hope the Open lays the foundations for many successful tournaments in the future. There is lots of talent in the Bridge of Allan area and this event is bound to attract players from further afield. We are very grateful to Graham’s for their generous sponsorship.”
