Graham's scoops prestigious
transport award
Graham’s, Scotland’s largest, independent, family-owned dairy company, has been named Scotland’s Top Chilled Distribution Haulier by Transport News, the industry’s leading trade magazine.
Kenny Kentley, Graham’s transport manager, and chairman Robert Graham snr accepted the prestigious award on behalf of the company at a ceremony in Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel on Friday, October 20. The event was attended by industry-related manufacturers, dealers and Scottish haulage companies.
Bridge of Allan-based Graham’s makes deliveries to customers seven days a week by its fleet of 79 refrigerated trucks – a stark contrast with the single horse and cart used to deliver milk when the family dairy was founded in 1939.
Alistair Vallance, editor of Transport News, said: “Graham’s family dairy runs a very tight ship in the chilled distribution sector. Kenny Kentley and the company’s delivery drivers can be very proud that they’re working for such an excellent firm, transporting milk nation-wide to a variety of customers using such a good quality fleet. This award, which is nominated by Transport News readers and truck dealer personnel, recognises Graham’s family dairy as the cream of the crop in this field!”
Kenny Kentley, who has worked for Graham’s for six years and is also from Bridge of Allan, said: “Graham’s currently produces over 260,000 pints on a daily basis, as well as transporting its own range of cream, butter, organic and Jersey products to customers throughout the country. Our refrigerated vehicles ensure that customers receive extremely high quality products, chilled to perfection, every time.
“This award from Transport News recognises that our chilled transport fleet is the best in the business. It’s excellent news for the company’s staff and its customers.”
